FIELD: medicine, traumatology, orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: proposed patella endoprosthesis comprises polymeric plate rigidly fixed on bone fragment by any conventional method. If patella is broken completely and ligaments are torn, plate is fixed on artificial ligaments using implanted bone fragment. Ball-and-socket joint is formed as recess in central part of intermediate plate and as corresponding bulge on polymeric plate. Ball-and-socket joint is fixed in place by means of fixation block secured by screw to intermediate plate. Fixation block is provided with conically shaped projection adapted to cooperate with conically shaped recess formed on spherical bulge of polymeric plate. Clearance left between them makes it possible to turn polymeric plate at angle of 3-5 deg in relation to intermediate plate. EFFECT: better adaptation to knee joint or to knee joint endoprosthesis. 4 cl, 3 dwg
