FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves periodically feeding at least two charges of raw material into blast furnace; reducing flow rate of natural gas, when raw material charges reach furnace bosh extension, and cutting off supply of natural gas for time interval equal to 0.5-0.8 of pause between openings of holes; increasing flow rate of natural gas to initial value upon releasing of cast iron and slag. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and improved quality of molten metal. 1 tbl
