FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method of blast-furnace melting of zinc containing charge. Method includes loading of charge, its melting in blast furnace and output of melting products, control of content of zinc oxides in charge materials, blast-furnace gas and melting products. During loading and melting of charge with content of zinc oxide in amount of 0.5–2.8 kg/t of cast iron periodically for 3–10 days supply of zinc oxide is reduced to 0.2 kg/t of cast iron. Content of silicon in cast iron is maintained in range of 0.25–0.5 %. Fineness of final blast-furnace slag is reduced by 0.03–0.05 units in relation to basicity of slag during operation of blast furnace with zinc oxide content in charge in amount of 0.5–2.8 kg/t of cast iron.
EFFECT: as a result, reduced consumption of mineral raw materials in iron-ore part of charge.
