FIELD: blast furnace production, possibly blowing-in blast furnace after erection, superlong idling period or after first and second class overhauling. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of charging furnace by burden materials, controlling level of arranging in furnace first batches of slag-forming and iron-ore materials, blowing through tuyeres hot blast, controlling parameters of burden and blast, measuring temperature of gases exhausting from tapping hole. After burning coke, blowing furnace through locking fittings that join upper portion of furnace with atmosphere and dust trap and initially descending burden, locking fittings are closed until temperature of gases exhausting from tapping hole increases by 3-300 C relative to initial value. Then locking fittings are opened and furnace is aftercharged up to predetermined level.
