FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, blast-furnace production; applicable in pig iron smelting in blast furnaces with use of additional fuel blown into tuyeres. SUBSTANCE: essence of the invention consists in that in case of detection of signs of coke breeze accumulation in hearth during hot metal tapping, supply of blown fuel to tuyeres is discontinued 5-10 min before plugging up the hot metal taphole, and supply of blown fuel is renewed in 6-14 min after its stopping. Washing effect is intensified when steam in amount of 0.1-0.35 kg per one kg of blown fuel is simultaneously supplied with discontinuation of blown fuel supply. Supply of steam is discontinued when supply of blown fuel is renewed. EFFECT: increased productivity of blast furnace and reduced fuel consumption. 2 cl
