FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, method is used in works, that process oxidized nickel ores. SUBSTANCE: process of oxidized nickel ores provides for reduction-sulfidized heat of sinter cake to produce nickel matte, conversion of matte to produce finematte, oxidizing calcining of nickel finematte, reduction calcining, reducing heat of calcine. In the case conversion of matte is finished as iron concentration in matte achieves 2 - 10%. Before oxidation calcining of nickel finematte its finishing is exercised by industrial nickel oxide and sinter cake is smelted for anodes, that are subjected to electrochemical refining with production of anionite, that is subjected to hydrolytic refining according to known process, during which cobalt is extracted.
