FIELD: electrodeposition technology. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for reduction and strengthening of inner surfaces of parts for instance, for zinc plating of body parts of shut-off gas equipment. Process of deposition of coat is realized by method of electrolytic rubbing of machined surface by rotating tool which side surface carries electrodes in the form of sectors of porous material to which electrolyte is supplied radially. In this case linear speed Vmax of outer surface of electrodes is chosen from range , where αH is equivalent of gas release of hydrogen, g/min; ρH is density of hydrogen, g/cu. cm; QH is amount of hydrogen liberated from unit of area of machined surface per time unit, cu. cm; αmc is chemical equivalent of precipitation of metal of coat, g.sq.cm/A. min; Ic is cathode density of current, A/sq.cm; c is concentration of active component of metal of coat in electrolyte, g/cu.cm; Qe is quantity of electrolyte fed to unit of area of porous material per time unit, cu.cm; L is width of sector of porous material of electrode, cm; Re,RH, $$ are water and gas permeabilities of porous material of electrode correspondingly unitless.
