BALLAST CLEANER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: railways; railway track repair. SUBSTANCE: ballast cleaner has frame resting on running bogies, ballast cleaning device and ballast cutting out devices mounted on frame of ballast cleaner at both sides along longitudinal plane of symmetry of machine. Each ballast cutting out device has inclined chute installed for movement in vertical and horizontal planes by means of drives, conveyor for re-loading of cut out ballast mounted in chute and working members, some of which consist of rotor or bucket elevator installed in lower portion of inclined chute for turning in vertical plane by means of drive. Rotor or bucket elevator is secured in lower portion of chute for disconnection. Second working member is installed in lower portion of each chute. This member is made in form of horizontal bar for cutting ballast out from under track skeleton. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 5 dwg
