CRUSHED-STONE CLEANING MACHINE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: railway track repair and maintenance machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: machine has frame which rests on railway trucks. Frame is made up of two pivotally interconnected trusses. Installed on first truss as to direction of machine operation are following units: ballast prism side planer, crushed-stone cleaning device, conveyors for impurities, conveyor for cleaned crushed-stone, conveyor for cutting out ballast at ends of sleepers which all are positioned over length of aforesaid truss. Also provided are following components: device for cutting out ballast from under rail-and-sleeper assembly which is located between devices for cutting out ballast at ends of sleepers, ballast spreading device, conveyors for removed ballast, and conveyor for cleaned ballast. Device for cutting out ballast from under rail-and-sleeper assembly is made up of two load-bearing frames which are installed at both sides of second truss. They can be moved independently in vertical and horizontal planes by means of power drives. Device is provided with mouldboards which are different in length and curvilinear in plan. Mouldboards installed on load-bearing frames can be turned in horizontal plane and they are displaced relative to each other in longitudinal and lateral directions with respect to each load-bearing frame.
