METHOD OF RUBEROID BITUMEN-BEARING COVERING REPAIR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: building, method is used during repair of roofs of buildings, structures and other coverings, for example, in basements, shelters, pedestrian subways, etc. SUBSTANCE: method provides for opening of subjected to repair section of laid on base of bitumen mastic coating, drying and adhesion of repairing section onto its previous place. After drying plasticizer is applied on covering outer surface and in process of adhesion covering is uniformly heated from side of its outer surface till plasticizer is absorbed, adjacent to base bitumen mastic layer melted and agglomeration of covering along whole its thickness. Then coating is tightly pressed to base. Usage of the method allows to restore plasticity, strength and waterproof properties of covering with simultaneous correction of covering damages and provision of high reliability of covering with base adhesion. EFFECT: increased quality of repair.
