FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: starting system has electric starter connected by electric circuit with storage battery and Stirling engine coupled with output shaft of internal combustion engine, heat a accumulator made in one unit with head of Stirling engine and connected with exhaust manifold of internal combustion engine by means of heat tube. Electric starter is connected with output shaft of Stirling engine. Burner is provided to warm up heat accumulator after long idling of internal combustion engine. EFFECT: increased economy of engine, reduced pollution, cut down consumption of power from storage battery as internal combustion engine is shut down at short time standing of vehicle or disconnection of consumers and restarting of internal combustion engine by means of Stirling engine instead of electric starter. 2 cl, 1 dwg
