FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: level gauge to measure level of liquid in reservoir has drum with thread wound on it. Level gauge of drive type is suspended from end of thread. It also includes reversible servomotor for drum drive, aid to drive drum in both directions, aid to register rotation of drum, aid to detect change of tension force in thread. The latter aid incorporates element mounted for rotation about horizontal axis. Oscillations of this element are limited by damper and its movements enable tension force acting on thread to be measured. EFFECT: simplified design, increased functional reliability. 14 cl, 5 dwg
