FIELD: tests of structural materials, development of sensitive elements from thermobimetal performing functions of measurement, adjustment, compensation and protection. SUBSTANCE: existing temperature interval of usage of thermobimetal is limited by plastic relaxed internal stresses which cause nonlinearity of system and dissipation of sensitivity in elastic region of deformation and their relaxation - change of dimensions and properties in time. Removal of plastic internal stresses by stabilization transforms thermobimetal to linear system with abruptly limited random component of errors of parameters and correspondingly with increased interval of working temperature. Lower limit of temperature of thermobimetal is determined in point of crossing of sections of constancy and drop - change of inclination angle of temperature dependence of checked parameters. Upper limit is determined by deviation of linear characteristic of checked parameter over section of constancy from straight line, i.e. by maximum temperature at which tested material retains elastic properties.
