FIELD: gasses and liquids purification from suspended foreign particles using energy of ultrasound. SUBSTANCE: method provides for creation of treated medium flow through zone of treatment by standing acoustic wave with fronts, that are in parallel to flow direction, and formation due to the acoustic treatment of row of equidistant and parallel to standing wave fronts layers with increased concentration of foreign particles and in intervals between them - row of parallel and equidistant layers decreased concentration of foreign particles. At exit of zone of acoustic treatment above layers are separated with formation of flow parts with increased concentration of foreign particles, that are directed in one of flow parts with decreased concentration of particles, that are directed in another side. To realize the method there is apparatus for foreign particles removal from fluid medium, that has separator with container and mounted inside container pack made of fine sheet pieces including partitions and deflectors of flow parts.
