FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acoustics particularly to means of acoustic separation. Device for separation by means of acoustophoresis contains the flow chamber that has the inlet and the outlet, the ultrasonic transducer that is located on the wall of the flow chamber, where the transducer includes the piezoelectric material, it is driven by the voltage signal with the possibility of creating the multi-dimensional standing wave in the flow chamber, where the multidimensional standing wave includes the axial component and the lateral component that are of the same order of magnitude, reflector arranged on the wall on the side of the flow chamber that is opposite to the transducer. Ultrasonic transducer comprises the housing that has the upper end, the lower end and the internal volume, the crystal on the lower end of the housing that has the exposed outer surface and the inner surface, where the crystal is able to oscillate when activated by means of the voltage signal, the substrate layer in contact with the inner surface of the crystal, where the substrate layer is made of the material that is acoustically transparent in fact. Acoustically transparent material made of the balsa tree, the cork or foam rubber.
EFFECT: to increase the efficiency of separation.
