DEVICE FOR ROLLING ON DOUBLED LAYERS IN TIER ASSEMBLING Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: tier production. SUBSTANCE: device for rolling on doubled layers in assembling tiers has assembling barrel, rolling-on roller installed on drive holder. The roller is made in the form of press-down discs which may be movable along the shaft. Each disc is made in the form of outer ring installed on bearing support. Inner part of the disc has a slot. The device has pneumatic chamber connected to the mean to supply working agent inside it, that is installed in the lengthwise slot formed by the slots of the press-down discs installed in series. The shaft and lengthwise slot have rectangular cross section. Slot depth is more than appropriate height of shaft profile by a value equal to radial travel of the press-down discs. Inner parts of the press-down discs are installed so as to enable sliding of opposite lateral surfaces of the lengthwise slot over the appropriate opposite sides of the shaft. The device is provided with replaceable press-down member installed in the middle of the rolling-on roller to adjust pressing of the press-down discs in the middle portion of the roller.
