FIELD: metallurgy, production of special steels and alloys in particular. SUBSTANCE: to improve magnetic properties of isotropic electrotechnical steel, that has 0.6 - 3.2 % , 0.3 - 0.6 % AI, 0.01 - 0.05 % C, surface of steel sheet band after recrystallizing annealing is applied with silicon-bearing powder and subjected to treatment using electronic beam method with following thermal treatment providing silicon 3.5 -8.0 % concentration in steel. EFFECT: improvement of magnetic properties of isotropic electrotechnical steel. 2 tbl
