SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, specifically to the production of isotropic electrical steel used for the manufacture of magnetic circuits of electrical equipment operating in a rotating magnetic field. A method for producing isotropic electrical steel containing silicon and aluminum includes smelting, optionally evacuation, hot rolling, optionally normalizing, cold rolling to the final thickness, preliminary high-speed heating at a heating rate over 100°C/sec to a temperature of 800-1060°C, followed by cooling, optionally decarburizing annealing, with further recrystallization annealing. The temperature and duration of recrystallization annealing are selected based on the results obtained by the predictive model formula, taking into account the actual content of Si and Al: P=12.44-0.0028T-0.103t-1.675Si-1.23Αl, where Ρ is the specific magnetic loss Ρ1, 5/50, W/kg, Τ is the temperature of recrystallization annealing, °С, t - time of recrystallization annealing, min, Si - silicon content, w.t%, Al - aluminum content, wt.%.

EFFECT: obtaining steel with minimal specific magnetic losses during magnetization reversal and increased induction with minimal anisotropy of magnetic properties.
