FIELD: applied electrochemistry, organic compositions displaying electrochrome properties which can be used in displays of various assignment, car rear-view mirrors, windows and filters of variable optic absorption. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for creation of elecrochrome composition with diminished time of spontaneous relaxation of electrocoloured state to initial one. Electrochrome composition includes following components, mas.%: cathode component-quanternary salt of dipyridium with anions ClO-4

or BF-4
, 0.3-2.1; anode component-derivative of ferrocenum, 0.3-1.4; or 5,10-dihydro-5,10-dimenthylphenasine, 0.2-0.9; background electrolyte - triphenylcianborate of tetraalkyl or triphenylcianborate of alkali metal, 1.0-7.7; solvent-propylemcarbonate or γ butyrolactone, the balance. EFFECT: proposed electrochrome composition reduces 1!5 to 8-fold time of spontaneous relaxation of electrocoloured state to initial one which will facilitate manufacture of faster electrochrome devices functioning under various conditions of electric control.
