FIELD: devices applicable for variation of color under the effect of electric current. SUBSTANCE: described is the method for manufacture of electrochromium device, having at least two electrodes, at least one of which is optically transparent, the hermetically sealed space between the electrodes is filled with an electrochromium composition. The starting electrochromium composition is obtained in the form of an electrochromium disperse system containing at least suspension and/or colloid, serving in the mentioned system as the disperse medium is an electrochromium solution containing a liquid solvent, cathodic component and an anode component, and highly dispersed polymer serves as the disperse medium; deaeration of the starting electrochromium composition is performed for removal of dissolved oxygen and air introduced with the highly dispersed polymer; the closed space between the electrodes is filled with deaerated dosed starting electrochromium composition; the closed space between the electrodes is sealed. Described is also the electrochromium device having at least two electrodes, at least one of which is optically transparent, the space between the electrodes is hermetically sealed and filled with an electrochromium composition obtained by the method described above. EFFECT: an electrochromium device is obtained operating is the conditions of maintaining of the painted state, as well as in the conditions of effect of high control voltages and change of the polarity of the electrodes, becoming apparent in the increase of the time of preservation of uniformity of painting and decoloration, especially for an electrochromium device with a large area of the working surface. 21 cl, 2 dwg, 6 ex
