FIELD: high-reliability electric drives, ac generators, or ac-to-dc and dc-to-ac converters. SUBSTANCE: electrical machine has two coaxially installed stators with armature windings and inductor in the form of hollow nonmagnetic conducting cylinder placed between stators. Inductor is divided at butt end into insulated sections and connected mechanically and electrically to unipolar exciter. Located at ends of stators are disks with radial slots on inner sides and wedge-shaped plates. Armature windings are built up of flat coils placed between plates.
