FIELD: electrolytic processes. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at electrolytically applying wear-resistant nickel-boron coatings containing no noxious impurities (Pb, Zn, As, Cd), which may be used in food and electronic mechanical engineering. Electrolyte contains (in g/l): nickel sulfate heptahydrate, 230-300; nickel chloride hexahydrate, 25-35; nickel acetate, 4-6; ice acetic acid, 5-15; polyhedral borate salt (on conversion to $$$), 0.1-2.0, acrylate ion, 0.02-0.05; and a special additive, 0.5-1.0 ml/l. EFFECT: improved quality of coating. 2 tbl
