FIELD: preparation of grafted copolymers used as composition for transportation of gas in gas pipelines. SUBSTANCE: polymerization of acrylic acid in the presence of polyacrylamide, surfactant and radical initiator in aqueous medium. During stirring at linear rate of 2-10 m/s, aqueous polyacrylamide solution with viscosity of 0.1-2 Pa, is first prepared. The acrylic acid, ammonium persulfate, and surfactant are added, and pH of reaction mixture is adjusted to 0.05-0.1, mixture is heated to 50-80 C and diethyl glycol is added. Process is carried out at weight ratio of polyacrylamide to acrylic acid to ammonium persulfate to surfactant to diethyl glycol of 2.4-3.0: 2.01-2.2: 0.04-0.05: 0.078-1.0: 28-30, respectively. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
