FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for producing a suspension, which can be used for fixing soils and soil in agriculture, in the construction of various roads and other earthworks. Method of obtaining a suspension is that the monomer, a crosslinking agent and a water-soluble initiator of the radical polymerization reaction are dissolved in water. Total concentration of monomers and crosslinking agent in water is in the range from 0.5 to 40 wt. %. Then emulsify the aqueous solution containing the above components, in liquid paraffin using emulsification technology – ultrasonic treatment or homogenization of the rotor-stator. Next, stabilize the resulting emulsion with the use of surfactants. Polymerization is then initiated by heating with stirring a water-in-oil emulsion. After that, the microgels are separated from the reaction mixture by filtration or by evaporation of the solvent, and the microgels are dispersed in water. Acrylamide is used as the starting monomer, or methacrylamide, or N-vinylpyrrolidone, or derivatives of salts of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, styrene sulfonic acid, 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid, or sodium acrylate, or diallyldimethylammonium chloride, or quaternized dimethylaminoethyl(meth)acrylate, or N, N'-dimethylaminopropyl(meth)acrylamide, or mixtures thereof. As a crosslinking agent N,N'-methylene bisacrylamide, or polyethylene glycol(meth)acrylate, or diallylamine, or triallylmonium salts are used. As the polymerization initiator, potassium persulphate, or ammonium persulphate, or 4,4'-azobis(4-cyanovaleric acid) are used. Sorbitan monooleate is used as a surfactant or poly (ethylene-co-butylene)-b-poly(ethylene oxide), or a mixture of sorbitan, sesquioleate and polyoxyethylene sorbitan trioleate stabilizers.
EFFECT: invention allows to obtain a suspension containing covalently crosslinked microgel particles emulsified in water and having improved properties for stabilizing soils and soil.
