FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a graft copolymer for dehydration of water-oil emulsions of natural and technical origin, containing xanthan with molecular weight of 1,000-1,900 kDa, polyacrylamide and N,N-methylenebisacrylamide, at the following ratio of components, wt.%: xanthan 12.0, polyacrylamide 79.0, N,N-methylenebisacrylamide 9.0, or xanthan 6.6, polyacrylamide 88.4, N,N-methylenebisacrylamide 5.0, or xanthan 3.5, polyacrylamide 94.0, N,N-methylenebisacrylamide 2.5. Also described is a method of producing a graft copolymer for dehydration of water-oil emulsions of natural and technical origin, involving its synthesis by graft radical polymerisation with microwave exposure for 2-3 minutes using ammonium persulphate as an initiator, wherein starting reagents are represented by xanthan with molecular weight of 1,000-1,900 kDa, acrylamide and cross-linking agent N,N-methylenebisacrylamide, with the following ratio of components, wt.%: xanthan 12.0, acrylamide 79.0, N,N-methylenebisacrylamide 9.0, or xanthan 6.6, acrylamide 88.4, N,N-methylenebisacrylamide 5.0, or xanthan 3.5, acrylamide 94.0, N,N-methylenebisacrylamide 2.5, wherein the cross-linking agent is added before polymerisation (A), or during polymerisation (B), or after polymerisation (C), product is precipitated with ethanol, washed with water-ethanol mixture, mechanically ground, dried to air-dry state.
EFFECT: wider range of sorbents for dehydration of water-oil emulsions, providing material with a degree of sorption of water from a pure aqueous medium of not less than 7.9 g/g, from 20% aqueous solution of NaCl of not less than 4.5 g/g, from water-oil emulsion is not less than 1.1 g/g, degree of extraction of cationic dye is not less than 21.7%.
