FIELD: metallurgy of heavy nonferrous metals; applicable in processing of scrap of lead storage batteries. SUBSTANCE: oxidizer of elementary sulfur to sulfur dioxide is used in form of lead sulfate. Higher process parameters of lead raw material processing, cut down cost and simplified process due to increase of sulfur dioxide content in gases. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
