FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes loading of charge of antimony sulfide-oxide raw material, fluxes, recycled materials, precipitator and reducer, and melting of charge in two cycles (periods). The first cycle ends in discharge of matte with slag, and the second cycle is ended in discharge of metal with slag. Heat is carried out for 19-36 h with a cycle (period) duration of 9.5-18 h. The thickness of residual layer of matte after its discharge amounts to 40-195 mm, and the amount of precipitator loaded in the second cycle amounts to less than 42% of the theoretically needed for heat. In the second cycle slag is discharged in the amount of less than 45% of the total amount of slag formed in the heat. Slag is discharged after discharge of metal in 1-3 h after beginning of the first cycle of the next heat. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 tbl
