FIELD: waste water monitoring. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of evaluating pollution of waste water from chemical oxygen minimum analysis and can be used at waste disposal plants. Invention consists in that, in chemical oxygen minimum analysis for initial and treated waste water comprising successive evaluation of pollution from intensity of waste water fluorescence and determining chemical oxygen minimum by titration, evaluation of the latter for initial waste water(COMo) is performed simultaneously with measuring its fluorescence and value of chemical oxygen minimum for treated waste water (COM) is calculated in accordance with the following relationship: COM = f/fo x COMo where f and fo are fluorescence intensities for treated and initial waste water. EFFECT: simplified analytical procedure. 3 dwg, 3 tbl
