FIELD: powder metallurgy, particular, production of aluminium powders with additive of titanium; applicable in chemical industry as catalyst in production of organoaluminium compounds, hydrides and in other fields of organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: the essence of the invention consists in that aluminium powder contains, mas.%: aluminium, at least, 99; titanium 0.05-0.34. Aluminium powders of this composition are produced by spraying of melt with inert gases with the following thermodynamic parameters of spraying: temperature of sprayed melt is 850-880 C; temperature of spraying gas is 300-400 C; pressure of spraying gas is 1.0-1.5 MPa. Spraying and cooling gas is used in form of inert gas, for instance, nitrogen. Melt spraying and powder cooling are accomplished simultaneously. As a result, alloys with preset content of titanium and size of particles less than 0.5 mm with product yield in excess of 90% are obtained. EFFECT: increased catalytic capacity of aluminium powders and extended field of application. 2 cl, 1 tbl
