FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely production of powder of aluminum-zinc alloy and its composition.
SUBSTANCE: powder having particles with fraction size less than 50 micrometers contains zinc in quantity 20 - 30 mass % and it has at least 97% of particles with size less than 50 micrometers, the balance - (50 - 100)micrometers. Particles have specific surface in range 0.15 - 0.25 sq. m /g. Method for producing such powder comprises steps of spraying melt by means of nitrogen containing 0.3 - 5.5 vol.% of oxygen heated up to 300 - 500 C at pressure 1.5 - 3 MPa and temperature of melt 700 -900 C.
EFFECT: possibility for producing powders with predetermined fraction size and chemical content, safety of manufacturing process.
