FIELD: mechanical engineering; transport internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: electronic control unit has first processor 10 adapted for calculating fuel requirements of engine and ignition advance angle and for control of multiple diagnostic tests for checking parameters of engine. Second processor 12 controls ignition and timing and beginning of fuel injection. Second processor 12 is adapted for control of engine in case of failure of first processor 10 using look-up tables of pulse width for fuel feed and ignition advance. Thanks to it automobile remains under control even in case of failure of part of electronic control module.
