FIELD: optical spectrometry. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in formation of the spectral pattern and determination of unknown line dispersion Dx. The novelty consists in the fact that the spectral pattern is formed in a continuous spectrum at illumination of the instrument by light of an incandescent lamp, and unknown line dispersion Dx is measured by its comparison with dispersion Dy introduced in the light beam of a standard echelon grating installed relative to the prism spectrometer according to the crossed instrument network and having a hole in its frame, through which the bearing part of the primary light beam passes into the instrument escaping the grating. The spectral pattern arises in the focal plane of the instrument chamber in the form of a narrow horizontal dispersion spectrum produced by the bearing beam, and a combination of narrow inclined diffraction spectra formed as a result of joint action of the grating and prism and crossing the dispersion spectrum at angles αpah. The value of angle αpah depends on ratio Dx/Dy. Therefore, for determination of unknown dispersion Dx only a single pattern parameter - angle αpah is measured. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 4 dwg
