FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: training optical interference device comprises illumination part that includes filament lamp and slit emitting narrow light beam, light splitting system forming two overlapping coherent beams of white light of equal intensity and observation part in the form of eye-piece with ocular micrometer. Light splitting system presents feebly transparent layer of optically dense medium with narrow cut in the form of slit- like clear air space that forms two overlapping coherent light beams. One beam emerges thanks to diffraction expansion of part of primary beam with attenuation of beam intensity as result of diffraction in air space, second beam emerges due to passage by another part of primary beam through feebly transparent layer with attenuation of intensity of beam because of absorption in layer. Interference layer in this case forms pattern in which two systems of chromatic bands of first order are displaced in symmetry with reference to center line of interference field under certain parameters of device and absorption layer.
