FIELD: fiber-optical communication lines, in particular, optical cables which are located on electric power transmission lines. SUBSTANCE: device has several metal wire braids which central parts are made from steel wire and contain optical units which have bundles of optical fibers which are covered by protection shield from metal tube. In addition device has at least one braid which is made from wires with high electric conductivity. When cable is used as protection against lightning and heavy currents run through it, metal braids with optical units are not effected to significant heating.
