FIELD: radio engineering, in particular, automatic detection of positions of mobile objects. SUBSTANCE: device has signal units 1-1, 1-2, 1-N, which are located on cars, receivers 2-1, 2-2, 2-M which provide reference points and are located stationary, dispatch station 3, information display stations 4-1, 4-2, 4-K. Each signal unit 1 has master oscillator 5, unit 6 which generates random number sequence and encodes, signal detectors 7, carrier frequency synthesizer 8, modulator 9, power amplifier 10, antenna-feeder unit 11. Dispatch station 3 has antenna-feeder unit 16, communication equipment 17, control unit 18. Each information display station has antenna- feeder communication unit 16, communication equipment 17, interface unit 19, personal computer 20. Device is based on difference-distance method which uses continuous emission of phase-manipulated signals with large base, spaced receivers and shared time scale.
