FIELD: medicine, traumatology, reconstructive surgery of hand. SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises steps of resecting joint ends, forming joint surfaces and filling joint fissure thus-formed with elastic foam polymer. Inventive novelty of method resides in that external positioning apparatus is applied onto damaged hand to make joint and soft tissues ready for subsequent treatment. Fixation in positioning apparatus is continued in position of achieved correction until healing of postoperative wound. Another inventive feature resides in that during arthroplasty antiseptics or antibiotics are added to elastic foam polymer, thereby enhancing antimicrobial properties of polymer. EFFECT: restored capacity of damaged hand finger joints to move; lower risk of postoperative complications.
