FIELD: plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: die set includes punches and at least two half-dies. Each half-die has connection surface, surface for clamping rod portion of article to be formed and surface for shaping head. End portion of surface for shaping head of each half-die is arranged on surface inclined relative to plane normal to lengthwise axis of clamping surface. Such construction lowers ovality of head due to creation of additional resistance against material yielding in direction normal relative to connection surface of half-dies due to inclination angle being not more than 5 deg.
