FIELD: graphite production. SUBSTANCE: apparatus contains vacuum chamber 1 located before chamber 3 designed for mixing graphite with heated gas. Chamber 3 encloses vertical tubular heater 4 whose hollow, through its ends, is connected with mixing chamber 3 and cooling chamber 6. In the latter, under lower end of heater 4, ultrasonic emitter 17 is mounted to generate 500-3000 kHz oscillations. In heater 4, graphite foaming takes place and, in chamber 6, additional ultrasonic radiation- assisted expansion of graphite occurs. EFFECT: improved design. 6 cl, 1 dwg
