FIELD: manufacture of flexible graphite foil and articles on its basis. SUBSTANCE: plant has installed in succession and connected means for supply of oxidized graphite, mixer of oxidized graphite and carrier gas, cylindrical heating chamber with heating elements, rarefaction chamber made in the form of vertical tube bent over circle in upper art with height-to-rounding diameter ratio of 3-5, and vertical tube-to-diameter of heating chamber ratio of 1.2-1.4. Installed in lower end of tube is nozzle for diluting gas. Rarefaction chamber is connected with accumulator of cellular graphite. The latter has porous partition and outlet for effluent gases. Plant has five-seven heating chambers and rarefaction chambers. Heating chambers are parallel and enclosed in body made in the form of parallelepiped from refractory brick. Bulk density of cellular graphite is 1.0-2.2 g/l content of sulfur is within 0.05-0.1 wt.-%. The plant output is 12.5-20 kg/h. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
