FIELD: oil pollution removal. SUBSTANCE: graphite dispersion is prepared and fraction with industrial particle size 0.05-0.2 mm and ash content 0.05-7% is selected. Graphite is oxidized with mixture of concentrated sulfuric acid and oxidant with redox potential 1.02-1.85 V (3 to 20 ml of mixture per 1 g of graphite) and then foamed by thermal chock in air stream at 1100-1200 C, preferably for 0.5-1.5 sec. Oxidant can be potassium bichromate or ammonium persulfate. EFFECT: increased efficiency of removing thickened petroleum film and increased storage time. 4 cl, 2 tbl, 13 ex
