FIELD: chemical technology, inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnesium chloride production using oxide magnesium-containing raw and abgases, dehydration and electrolysis. Abgases containing hydrogen chloride were treated with circulating brucite suspension (particle size is less 1 mm, ratio solid : liquid = (1:350)-(1:550)) at 50-180 C, pH = 2-9 up to magnesium chloride concentration in suspension 18-27 wt.-%. Then suspension is decanted, the cleared part is mixed with salts containing magnesium and potassium chloride up to preparing the mixture containing 30-65 wt.-% H2O and weight ratio K : Mg = (1.52-1.84). The prepared mixture is added to the enriched carnallite at ratio 10-50% and the obtained raw is dehydrated. EFFECT: improved method of magnesium production. 8 cl
