FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to complex processing of raw minerals, particularly to complex processing of ore, containing magnesium silicates, for example, serpentinite, with production of commercial items. The method includes crumbling of ore, classification, leaching with hydrochloric acid, separation of the suspension into liquid and solid phases, and cleaning of the liquid phase from impurities by means of neutralisation and filtration. Then the cleaned chlormagnesium solution is evaporated, carnallite is synthesised, dehydrated at presence of hydrogen chloride and electrolysed with production of commercial magnesium, spent electrolyte, used for carnallite synthesis, and chlorine. After that, solid phase formed as the result of hydrochloric acid leaching is washed. Ore is leached to residual contents of hydrochloric acid of not more than 1.0-1.5% HCl in suspension; hydrogen chloride is formed out of chlorine produced by electrolysing; the said hydrogen chloride is used at dehydration of carnallite, while the solid phase after washing is used at production of liquid glass.
EFFECT: simplification of complex ore processing, reduction of power and reagents consumption.
