Flexible carrying member 5 connects two traverse beams 1, 3 of press housing through blocks 4 arranged at both sides of said traverse beams. Member 5 is loaded only during working stroke of press. Rigidity of press structure is provided due to realized effort; horizontal position of upper movable traverse beam of press is provided by redistribution of efforts in predetermined portion of said blocks due to respective elongation of flexible member supported by blocks.
