FIELD: plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: method of drawing blanks comprises steps of periodically feeding blank and reducing it at changing feed motion direction before each reduction to opposite one; determining blank motion values according to predetermined relations with use of given functions for finding parameters of said relations; at first reduction pass remaining non-deformed portion of blank at side of its free end; determining length of said portion according to above mentioned relation selected individually for each reduction; at each pass forging blank with maximally possible forging reduction ratio being no less than that of previous pass but no more than two.
