FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used at roll mill cutting sections. Heated hollow forging is forged at hydraulic forging press by two hammer blocks on long mandrel with feed and canting. At forging final stage, a groove is made at biller center by said two hammer blocks. Then, produced billet is heated and forged at hydraulic forging press on short mandrel in four-hammer block device. Note here that billet if fed relative to short mandrel and canting. Every part of billet located on both sides of said groove is forged from groove edge to billet edge.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and precision.
