FIELD: mechanical engineering; making of self-tightening slings of wire rod. SUBSTANCE: self-tightening sling 1 made of flexible material has bunch in form of closed spiral with coils 2 and 3 different diameter made of continuous thread with fixed first and second ends. Second end of thread is connected to bunch. Bunch contains closed single-thread spiral, formed by first end of thread, connected with thread of other non-closed spirals. Method of manufacture of self-tightening sling comes to the following: first of all loops of thread are wound to from bunch 1, first and second ends of thread are fixed, second end of thread being fixed by winding around bunch. First end of thread is made fast after forming a single-thread spiral on two-step mandrel by connecting it to thread and closing the spiral. Then bunch is formed from coils of thread by rotating closed single-thread spiral. EFFECT: improved quality of sling. 8 cl, 15 dwg
