FIELD: railway transport; rail track maintenance and repair; replacement or cleaning track ballast. SUBSTANCE: device mounted on frame of track machine has ballast cutting members arranged at both sides of machine to cut out ballast at end faces of ties. Some end sections of bars for cutting out ballast from under track skeleton are hinge-mounted on cutting members. Other end sections of bars are hinge-and-detachably interconnected by plate provided with projections for engagement with stops secured on second end sections of bars. Second end sections of bars can be connected with machine frame by means of tie-rod. EFFECT: facilitated maintenance and repair of rail track,. 2 cl, 6 dwg
