FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method can be used in underground development of formations of adjacent seams of minerals at large depths. According to method, seams are divided into panels, main preparatory entries are cut through lower lying seam or in rock of its foot, panels are worked out in lower lying seam in descending, and panels in upper lying seam are worked out in rising. One of wings in panel of upper lying seam is worked out with advance. Main preparatory entries are finished, and left in worked-out area of above lying seam is pillar of mineral.
