FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: reduced loss of mineral is achieved due to complete mining of safety pillars. In working out last overburden bench, layer of rock is left above mineral seam and its depth is not less than twice thickness of seam, and width of safety pillar is determined from relation: B = H - 3 m, where B - width of safety pillar; H - width of stope of rock bench; m - thickness of mineral seam. Further work for removing overburden and mining of mineral left in safety pillars is performed after withdrawal of mining complex and stoping of main roof behind it. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 dwg
