FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes carrying out of stripping and mining operations on beds for opencast mining, driving of underground opening and development workings, and carrying out of stoping operations on underlying contiguous bed designed for underground extraction. Stoping working on underlying bed is driven with leading of opencast mining on overlying beds with roof control by full caving and leaving of nonslotted coal pillars. AS breakage face advances with roof caving, worked-out space is filled through holes drilled from surface with silting material to plug formed cavities. EFFECT: reduced losses of mineral and no necessity of support of extended mine workings. 3 dwg
